Ceramic Coin Tray

A few weeks ago, I talked (HERE) about a place that I really like, 

Color Me Mine.

My son and I went back again to the Pasadena studio, 

to make something special for my husband's Father's Day.

Now that James is 2

(I will share his 2nd birthday photos with you, very soon)

 I thought we should make something different 

than the foot and hand prints 

that we have been making in the past.

I wanted James to pick up the paint brushes and do whatever he wanted without the help of maman (me)

My little "Matisse"

James and I browsed though the studio to find the perfect piece of pottery for daddy.

We chose 

the mug.

James got right into it!

Always so focussed...

and so meticulous

We had a great time, James was just super cute.

A few days later, 
we came back to pick up daddy's finished mug.

Et voilà!

I chose the wording and the friendly staff wrote it perfectly.

Daddy loved his new mug!
